Flashback 35 of 365 - Cowboys and Cowgirls

9/3/2006

Sacramento holds Gold Rush festival of the 1800s almost every year along the sides of Sacramento River. Men and Women are dressed in old style clothing, the type people used to dress up in the 1800s. This festival is so awesome that you actually feel you have traveled 150 years back in time. From roads to shops to games everything is setup to emulate that era. Bustling with activity, the district is alive with shopping, dining, entertainment, historical attractions and world-renowned museums set within the time of the California Gold Rush and the Transcontinental Railroad.

Here's a shot of horse riders moving around town in their cowboy outfit. I am planning to write a blog about this event and post pictures I had clicked when I attended this festival.

I chose to use grayscale here because it fits perfectly well with the subject I am portraying.
